Is it really March?!?

I enjoy each month's currently by Farley.  Go and check out her new blog design and join in this month's currently fun.  Her blog design was created by The 3am Teacher.

This month's fun twist is you will need to guess the last question based on my answers.  There's a lot coming up and I hope I get through them all with positive outcomes.

I am starting to work on making healthier choices with my school lunches.  I am trying to bring a healthy home lunch each day.  I am also crossing fingers and toes that I can get up and get moving more...just so exhausted by the time I get home.

I love my Honda Fit and it needs to last for a little longer...I am hoping to get another Honda Fit soon.

I hope you will join in the fun...

Happy Weekend!!

Presidents' Day...a little late

February art activities seem to be flying past me and I can't seem to keep up.  I found another fun directed drawing activity by Kindergarten Planet for Presidents' Day.  Once again, my kindergarten students amazed me with their artistic abilities.  I am bummed though that my apostrophe is not in the right place : (

I hope I can keep up with March art activities ;)

Happy Valentine's Day...LOVE BUGS

I found a cute art project from Doodle Bugs Teaching {first grade rocks}.  It came from her Valentine Crafts! from TpT.  My kinders did an awesome job on their LOVE BUGS. This really helped with their cutting and following directions.   I didn't have it done in time to post them up in our room, but they were happy to be able to take it home on Friday.   We did forget to add a cute smiley face though.

I hope everyone had a nice Valentine's and a fun weekend.  I am so happy that I had the day off today...I am still sick and the extra day to rest was nice.  Here's to a 4 day work week : )
Don't forget to stop by Doodle Bugs Teaching Tpt Store  for some wonderful teaching ideas.

Hugs,
Julie

Gung Hee Fat Choy...it's a little late

Sorry for the late post, but I was so happy with how the Make a Dragon craft from First Grade Blue Skies came out with my kindergarten students.  I enlisted the help of my copy parent to trace and copy all the pieces.  I only cut out the mask piece, but my kinders did all the rest.  Each student got a ziploc bag with all the pieces and pulled each piece out to cut and paste as I modeled for them.

I attached 2 jumbo craft sticks to the back with tape and they glued 3 pieces of tissue paper on the bottom of their dragon.  We were already to walk in our school parade to celebrate the Chinese New Year.  I loved this craft and so did my kinders.  Thank you First Grade Blue Skies for a wonderful product.  Don't forget to check out her TpT store.

Gung Hee Fat Choy,
Julie
